About Mary Tobias

Mary Tobias is a North Center resident, mother, entrepreneur, culinary professional, and community advocate.

A graduate of Kendall College's Culinary Arts program, Mary built her career in Chicago's hospitality industry before founding Glow Superfood and later opening Lincoln Café & Market, which evolved into Mimi's on Lincoln. Her passion for great food, exceptional hospitality, and community-building continues to shape everything Mimi's represents today.

Mary and her husband also own Timber Lanes, a neighborhood institution they are proud to steward. Together, they are committed to creating spaces that bring people together and strengthen the community they call home.

In addition to her work as a business owner, Mary serves as an elected Commissioner for North Center SSA #38, supporting initiatives that enhance the neighborhood and support local businesses.

As a mother raising her family in North Center, Mary is deeply invested in the community and passionate about helping make Chicago neighborhoods vibrant, welcoming places to live, work, and gather.
